Everyone gets a ridiculous situation. Write your excuse. Vote for the best.

Round 1. Write your excuse.
You arrived at your own birthday party dressed for the wrong theme. Your excuse?
Anonymous until the author reveal. Edit until the host opens voting.
Round
Situation → private writing (soft 90s) → anonymous entries → one vote each, no self-vote → author reveal → 1 point per vote to the entry; tied highest share.
Blank / late
Blank = sits out (no entry, no vote). Late after voting opens = spectator this round; joins next.
Duplicate text
Kept as separate entries, second marked "(also)" — never silently merged.
Player leaves
Their entry stays on the ballot; their missing ballot is not counted. Denominator shown.
Too few
Under 3 valid entries → round cancelled, nothing scored, next situation.
Alibi Avalanche
Sole winner with every other eligible vote → "all N other players", then author reveal. Never "everyone".
Privacy
Stage shows only "submitted". Text appears only after voting opens, authors only after the reveal.
Shared device
Not offered on one keyboard — anonymity would be fake. Suggest Act It Out instead.
